So here is a basic update on my life and all the highlights of this summer/early fall. It has been an insane summer! Probably the best one I have had yet, mind you I am only 15 so it's not like I have lived a great amount of years, but I do have many memories from other past summers. So many things have happened I don't exactly know where to start. I think I am going to start in late June:
In late June Julia and I went with my eldest sister Natasha to a camp she was helping run for 4 days.
It was so fun! I got to see a ton of friends I had not seen in a while when I was there. We got there early Thursday morning and unloaded our stuff into the cabin and then Natasha had to go have a meeting with some others that were helping with the camp. So during their meeting Julia and I went to the park and sat on the swings and talked, Julia got up from the swing to do something and fell abruptly to the ground and started to cry- long story cut short- She retore her ligament from when she tore it the past winter. It hurt her to much to walk around so Julia and I went back to the cabin and I kept her company.
We listened to music on my ipod, ate the freezies that a guy gave us to use as an ice pack for her leg, painted our nails, laughed, and ate junk food for 5 hours! Its was an awesome weekend. :) Shortly after camp Natasha's fiance flew in from Germany because their wedding was in 2 weeks! A week before their wedding Natasha's fiance's family flew in to help with the wedding, it was so nice having them here, I miss them a lot. And then on July 7th/12 the wedding came. It was so beautiful and Natasha looked stunning. It was a wonderful day.
A little more than a week later Natasha and her husband left for Germany which is now where they reside and are happily living. In mid June before Natasha left, Rachel, Natasha, Julia, my best friend Emily, and I went to Carly Rae Jepsen's concert which was being held less than a hour away from where I live! It was soo fun!

Mother's Day
My Mom and Dad are not the planning ahead-type, they are more of the deciding the day of/telling you what the plan is the day or hour of-type. Which as much as it sometimes drives me a little bit crazy, I wouldn't change that about them. We didn't really have any plans for Mother's Day and it sounded like we were just gonna stay home, my mom was telling me that my Auntie and her adult daughter were planning to go see my cousin and her family in the city for Mother's Day and we were also invited but it didn't sound like we were going to go. The morning of Mother's Day my mom comes in my room and tells me that we are going to the city for church and then we would go to see our family right after the service.
So we get to the city and go to church and then after church we drove to my cousins house. We had a huge BBQ in the backyard and there was so much yummy food! It was a really fun afternoon. :)
We got home around 8pm and then my sisters and I walked a few houses down to a family who is friends with our family. They just moved in recently to our street. :) Their youngest son was having his 2nd birthday and they were having a big party for him and our whole family was invited, so we went over there as soon as we got home.
It was a really good day. :)

"Scrap Words" Tutorial
I saw something like this when I was browsing online about a month ago, and I really liked the concept, so I tried to do something like it.
Here is how it turned out:
Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple. (quote by Dr. Seuss)
(I made it as a birthday present for a friend)
I really like how it looks.
This is my first time doing a tutorial so just stick with me here.
Here is what you need:

Here is what you need:
- Plain coloured paper
- Scissors
- tape
- Either patterned or scrap magazine paper (I did a mix of both)
- Pencil or pen
- The first thing you do is decide what quote you want to do for this project
- Get all the items above that you need all together in front of you because you will be using those items constantly
- The grab either the patterned or the scrap magazine paper and trace out letter by letter
- Then you cut out the letters
- Then you stick (using the tape) the letters that you just cut out to the plain coloured paper and place them way you want it (I used white coloured paper for the backround, but any other plain coloured paper would be good)
- Then cut around the plain colored paper leaving a bit showing like this--->
- So If you have done all these steps, you are all done! Yay!
- You could put them on your wall
- use them in scrapbooking or making cards
- or you could do something like what I did

I feel like writing something happy
Here I am on this BEAUTIFUL day! I have had a really good morning, here is what happened-
I slept in a bit and walked the dog, after walking the dog I made myself some breakfast which was 2 pieces of toast with yummy Nuttella spread on top. During my breakfast I sat on the couch and ate my Nuttella toast while reading "Do Hard Things" by Brett & Alex Harris. After eating and reading I did some chores and after my chores I did My school work which I am almost done and now here I am in the school room typing away and randomly stopping to look out the window to look at this beautiful day...
-I was looking through my blog posts and found this draft that was finished but not published, I am not sure why. But it's kinda cool looking back at this, so I thought I would publish it anyway.

It's been a long week.
The word "tired doesn't" even mean something to me anymore, I am always tired. This renovation has been a really long process for my family and myself, but I am VERY happy to announce that we are weeks away from finishing! Of course there is still the bathroom downstairs, and the living room on the main floor, those are minor compared to what we have been doing. For those of you that don't know much about my family's renovation, we added on to our house making the kitchen and dining room a whole lot bigger than what they used to be! Also we have made a room downstairs underneath the kitchen/dining room which we don't quite know what it is going to be yet, but it has a ton of possibilities.
So, here is the status of my house:
Painted the walls in the kitchen/dining room last week this color-

So, here is the status of my house:
- No kitchen sink, so we (mostly Rachel) have been doing the dishes in the bathtub
- Mess Everywhere! If any of you have had a renovation I'm pretty sure you know what I'm talking about...
- We have tools and appliances laying all about-New fridge in the dining room, new dishwasher and microwave in the living room, built shelves in the new kitchen/dining room, a scafholder in the old kitchen holding tools and such.
